Why are a Dozen Eggs $5 at Vons?

 

I sent Mr. Man to Vons to get a dozen eggs and I finally got around to looking at the receipt and I nearly fell over at the $4.99 price! He said that they were the cheapest price, I looked online and sure enough, the most inexpensive eggs were $4.99.

He picked up the Oscar Mayer bacon on sale for $4.99 but what was most shocking is that the REGULAR price of the bacon is $11.99. 

I went online to walmart.com to see their price for a dozen eggs and honestly, their prices aren't much better.  It's as if the grocery stores are in collusion to keep food prices artificially high.

These next three months, we are in for a bumpy ride.  I keep telling you all to grab the Ragu Pasta Sauce at Vons because I don't think we are not going to get super cheap pasta sauce like we got in the past.

A lot of people can't get food stamps because they make good money but their money is going to paying high rent or high mortgage payments or they have a hefty car payment and insurance. 

There will not be a coupon insert inside the Sunday newspapers as it is the Labor Day weekend and you'll be too busy enjoying spending time with family and friends. It’s Saturday enjoy your day! On Sundays, I take the day off from blogging.

Some Survey Companies are asking for too much🤯

This morning, Field Agent, wanted to me to do a quick, simple survey at Costco in Mission Valley for $7.  

As you see in the picture above, it requires me to take NINE (9) photos and answer up to 40 questions about the special display.

First of all, I know my value and my time is worth and I can walk into McDonald's and get a job for $20 per hour so why would I agree to take $7?  It's not worth my time.

You must understand, Field Agent is very specific about the pictures that they want. I remember in one job that they wanted to see my thumb, in a thumbs up position in the picture along side the product.

I knew right away that I wouldn't consider the job because it's only SEVEN DOLLARS!?!?

They are literally asking folks to think for $7. They want take NINE (9) pictures taken and answer up to 40 questions about the special display for $7.

The $7 is such an insulting number that I should just delete app because Costco is probably paying them like $2,000 for this survey, they pay me $7 and the keep the rest in profits. 

It's a big fat NOooooooo, in my book!!!!

I just got back from Smart & Final and I submitted my receipt to Ibotta for the Gatorade and they credited me almost instantly for the $1/2 Gatorade offer which made them both free (Thanks, Growly)!

I looked on Fetch Rewards and they have a Spend $25 on Pepsi OR Tostitos Chips or Dips get 3,000 points (excludes Pepsi 20 oz) offer, I submitted my receipt and of course, I had to submit a Trouble Ticket because their software didn't credit me the $10 towards the Pepsi offer but thankfully, they fixed the problem right away!🤣
