If you've noticed that I've been MIA, the last couple of weeks, I have been having allergy symptoms, as well as, asthma symptoms and I actually have two different inhalers. I can go years without any symptoms and then out of the blue, I have the symptoms.

Smart & Final and I believe CVS, too, have the bottled water 24pk on sale for $2.49.  I think the days of the $0.99 and $1.99 for a 24 pack bottled water are gone, although, you can use your Vons/Albertsons points to get bottled water for free or use your store rewards or gift cards for the bottled water.  I know people love hanging onto their store rewards like it's money instead of using them on things that you need or water for your family.  

I can't eat store rewards and I'll use them in a heart beat to avoid using real money.

Sometimes, we have to release people, things and ideas so that new people or opportunities or both can come into our lives.  Some people are only meant to be in our lives for a season or two to learn whatever lesson that we are learn and we have to move forward with what we learned.  I have met some absolutely amazing people and I learned so much from them but then there comes a time that we have to go our separate ways.  Take the knowledge that you learned from your friend and share it with others.

I am still over the moon happy that I got the zip code advantage and thank goodness, I looked at my second account and I didn't miss the opportunity to use it!!!! Check your account to see if you got the coupons shown above.  Interestingly, enough everything worked with the advantage except for the $1 off Yogurt coupons didn't come off of my receipt.  I bought the Noosa yogurt and it was like $3 which should have triggered the two $1 off coupons but it didn't.  Probably, if I buy the yogurt today, the two coupons will come off.  However, I'm not going to test it.

Yesterday, I received an email invite from CVS to take a survey and thankfully, I qualified for the survey and I received a $10 Extra Bucks and it doesn't expire until 9/28/25.

It has been so hot this week but I think it's the humidity because the temperature here has been in the low to mid 80's. We have really been trying to keep save energy and conserve using the air conditioner but I've had to use it a few time.

Speaking about it being hot, I have to say that I am very grateful that we have plenty of water, soda and energy drinks from all the freebies that we've collected all summer long.  It's as if God waited until we all had plenty of drinks in our stockpile and then turn on the hot weather.

I tasted the FREE Chips Ahoy Minis Cups and they were surprisingly good and I highly recommend that you pick up the cookies at your local Ralphs/Food 4 Less store.  I assume that the other Kroger affiliates have offer for your particular Kroger affiliate so check and see.

Can you believe that we are halfway through the month and there are like 40 days until fall.  The elementary kids in my neighborhood have returned back to school.  I say it again that there are so many people out of work.  There are so many people out and about in my area, in the middle of the day walking their dogs, running, and at the parks with their cars lining the streets.

One of the easiest ways to save money is to cook and eat your meals at home.  Instead to going to the bars or going to restaurant for dinner and drinks do it at home.  

We have the pre-season NFL games today and on Sunday.  Invite a couple of friends over to watch the games, run to the grocery store to buy some frozen pizza and pull out those money maker Jack Daniels and Coke Ready to Drink (the offer is NLA) and have an enjoyable time at home.  Ask your friends to bring some paper plates or fried chicken or chips and salsa/dip to spread the expense.

We have heard nothing but bad news every single day since January and people need to relax and unwind and still have something fun to look forward to on a Saturday.  Make your World Famous Chili or Hamburgers or whatever and enjoy the pre-season games and chill.

It's the first day of August and we should be seeing some sort of Back to School sales like notebooks, lined paper, glue, pencils, oral care, chips, juice boxes, etc.  However, with almost all of the retailers announcing that they are raising their prices due to the effects of the tariffs who knows what types of deals we will see in the August.

If you see an even halfway decent deal on Back to School items, you may want to grab it or check out your local Dollar Tree.  If you go into your better neighborhoods with Dollar Tree stores, they tend to have more cashiers working at the registers.  In my area, there are no Dollar Tree stores and I drive to Murphy Canyon to their Dollar Tree store and that's a pretty decent store and there's plenty of parking.

Also, don't forget that Labor Day is September 1st so be on the lookout for cheap hamburger and hot dog buns, chips and condiments.  I swear my weekly regular degular grocery shopping receipts, the price total seems to be growing each week.

GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE!!! HELLO, CHERYL!!!

My couponing/deal seeking strategy is to buy the things that we want or use at a discounted price and get the money makers to help pay for the things that we want or use.  

Now, if I can pick up FREE non-perishable foods, I will so that I can donate it to the food pantry.  I used to give those types of things to friends or co-workers but what I've learned, over time, is people will mistake your kindness for weakness because we have hope for a better world...and they've given up on themselves and humanity.  

I was kind of struggling with what to do with the excess food that I got through couponing and deals.  One day, the answer came to me, I had seen a story about a food pantry just a couple of miles away from me.  Things like the Milton crackers and the Wheat Thins we've gotten for free went to the food pantry.  This week, they paid us to take ten Best Foods and next week, I'll take the ten mayonnaises to the pantry.

In general, if it's something that we won't use and it's a perishable item and it's free, I won't get it. I'd rather leave it on the shelf for someone else to pick up.

As it is, we spend a lot of time managing our stockpile - checking for expiration dates, rotating and organizing stock, I don't just bring home items just to admire the stuff I have gotten from couponing.

Whoopppsssss, let me back up.  IF the food item is a huge money maker, I am picking it up pointblank and period!  Remember the spicy hot MTN Dew 12 packs at Ralphs/Kroger?  It was like a $20 or $30 money maker.  I think we had to buy 3 or 4 of them.  We did a taste test of the sodas and they taste so awful that we literally dropped off them behind a strip mall.🤣

Anyways, when you are doing a couponing make plans as to what you are going to do with the food!

GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE!!! HELLO, CHERYL!!!

Yesterday, I went to Sprouts for the money maker Fresh Press Farm Peach Vinegar, Culture Pop Sodas and Plezi Drinks (I highly suggest that you do three separate transaction because how long the receipts can get!) I ran some other errands but on my way back home, I took the back way home driving through various neighborhoods and I'm telling you that they are throwing up apartments/and or condos on any sliver of land.  I can tell that they are over building and the work is going to be shoddy. I drove through these neighborhoods like a month ago and now there's a four-story apartments there?  They are rushing to build these apartments because of the ICE raids.

Another thing that I noticed as I driving home is that there are a LOT of people that are not working.  You don't have to tell me that people have their RDO (Regular Day Off) on Fridays but yesterday was like Christmas morning and everyone was at home opening their gifts and their cars was in the driveways.  

All I am saying is to keeping saving your money especially with the store closings (RIP Rite Aid, our neighborhood store is closed.), grocery prices sky-high, thousands of people getting laid off and on top of it all of these natural disasters with no FEMA.

Typically, this time of the year we would have lots of free deodorant deals but I haven't seen too many.  I don't know if it's because of the tariffs or our country has been run down into the ground and the corporations can no longer afford to give us free deodorant.  

Remember when CVS used to give us Speed Stick deodorant for free? You used to be able to get the Suave deodorant for like $0.99 at the Walmart.  The thing is when there are opportunities to get free or cheap personal care items, you have to pick them up.  

When I was couponing at the drugstores, on a weekly basis, we used to get shampoo & conditioner & hair color for pretty much free every week.  We don't see those types of deals anymore.  Once CVS got rid of the CVS Beauty Club, we should have known that it was going to be downhill from there.  

So, yes, this summer, we've been inundated with drink deals and we'll just stock up on drinks for the summer and Labor Day.

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!!!  The weather in San Diego was surprisingly amazing and mild.  

The Free Athenos Tajin feta cheese that we got in June was perfect for the Greek pasta salad that I made for the 4th of July.  I thought there was going to be a slight kick to the feta but there wasn't any that I could tell.  We got to use a bunch of things that we got for free through couponing and rebating. Everyone loved those little Ocean Spray Juice 6pk. 

We coupon to save money so that we can enjoy spending time with our families without worrying about if we can afford to have a little get together.  There's a lot of people out there that put their 4th of July food and drinks on a credit card not knowing how they are going to pay their credit card at the end of the month because so many have been fired or laid off from their jobs.

Since it's a long holiday weekend, I don't think that it's going to be a busy couponing weekend.  Enjoy your time spending time with your friends and family.  It's rare that we get these opportunities to just relax.

It's the very last weekend of June which means that we can start requesting our funds from the rebate apps.

Yesterday, I bought the Seattle's Best Ground Coffee 12 oz in the blue and red bag, dark roast, or so I thought. I uploaded my Vons receipt to to Shopkick and unlike Thursday when I bought the coffee, my receipt did not immediately get approved.  Only one bag of the coffee was approved.  I had some other errand to attend to on Friday and since one bag was approved, I wait until  later in the day to submit a Trouble Ticket.

As I was taking pictures of my two bags of coffee, it turns out that I had bought one dark roast and one medium roast.  I guess that could have confused the Shopkick software...but whatever!  I submitted my Trouble Ticket and about two hours later, my missing points were awarded.

I don't mind jumping through a little bit of a hoop for $0.78 per bag of coffee! I just got to remember to pick up a coffeepot!'

On Thursday evening, I was trying to do some fancy ballerina stuff and bend down and throw my leg high in the air to pick up something off the ground and I pulled a muscle in my back.🤣 Thank goodness, we have some strong meds from when Mr. Man fell off his bike on the bike trail!🤣. I am feeling much better today.

I swear, everyday, we are living our best lives because besides keeping a roof over our heads, we have been getting some of the best food deals in preparation for our 4th of July cookouts like the Pepsi 2 liters for $0.50 each or the FREE Wheat Thins Star Wars (NLA) or the $1.99 Oscar Mayers Hotdogs.  

Another great way to save money is to return things that doesn't suit you like clothing, shoes, food, home decor, etc.  Sephora and Bath Body Works will let you return anything that doesn't meet your expectations.  As long as you have your receipt, the drugstores will issue you a refund for makeup and skincare products that break you out.

We waste our money by throwing items in our trash instead of returning it.  

A lot of people feel shameful about doing store returns but I feel more shameful about throwing away money.  I rather my son have the money than the store to keep my money.  

Last year, I bought two linen blouses and a pair of linen pants at Marshall's and they fit beautifully, I wore them all summer long because 100% linen is not only a durable material but it keeps you way more cooler than any type of synthetic or blended materials.  I was really happy with my purchases.

This year, I bought two more linen blouses and a cropped linen jacket at TJ Maxx and I returned both blouses because I did not like the fit of the blouses on me.  I loved the little jacket but not blouses.  The old me would have kept those blouses until it was too late to return them back to the store and I'd eventually donate them Goodwill.  

I only want things in my closets that I feel comfortable wearing. I am leaning into trusting my initial instincts. If I am walking around my home with a new clothing and seeing how it works with other clothing in my wardrobe and I'm not liking it...I am taking it back.

Today, there will be lots and lots of protests all across the country so expect that there will be disruptions in traffic and I'd check on TikTok or sign up for https://nextdoor.com/news_feed/ I am not a big fan of Next Door because some of the snarky comments my neighbors say but there should be some info about the protests, traffic, street closures, etc.

I am just not ready for the hot weather especially with humidity.  Being from Sacramento, it definitely gets hot but it's dry heat and the buildings like grocery stores, Walgreens, etc. keep the air conditioning running during the summer heat.  

Anyhoo,  I hope that you got in on the Jarritos Soda for $0.47 which is an amazing price and you can put them to the side for your Juneteenth and/or 4th of July cookouts!!!  I noticed when I submitted my Jarritos receipt to the confirmation phone number, I just got crickets.  However, when I clicked the link in the confirmation text, I used it to upload my receipt and within less than 5 minutes, WeStock had sent me an email confirming my receipt.

Speaking of cookouts, don't forget to stop by your Ralphs/Kroger stores and grab the Kroger 80% Lean Beef Burgers 2 lb Frozen for $6.99  and the limit is 5 with digital coupon.

This week, we got some really good deals on the FREE+MM General Mills cereal, as well as, the FREE Wheat Thins Star Wars Crackers, the FREE Athenos Tajin Feta Cheese, the FREE Chocolate Milk and the FREE DairyPure Milk 50, we got so much to be grateful for each and every day.

At least for me, it never gets old when we find great deals.  I got paid to take out six boxes of cereal out of the store. It was just like ten short years ago, you used to have to fill out a rebate form, put it in an envelope and put a stamp on it to get paid for a rebate.  They used to mail us a rebate check and then they switched to gift cards. They're still trying move us all to online purchases.  This is why they are trying their best to get everybody onboard with bitcoins and get rid of physical money.

They have started the transition to digital currency by getting rid of the penny and there was no push back from the American people.

It is the very last day of the month, you can request your funds from the rebate apps!

I finally got to taste the famous Slice soda (we got it for FREE at Sprouts a couple days ago) that a lot of people was saying that it tastes super good...and I hated it. I got the Cherry Cola and I instantly wanted to spit it out.  I am so happy that we got to taste the soda for free. I tried the soda around lunchtime and after the one sip, I poured it down the drain.  We save so much money getting to try new products without using our own money to do so.

For example, last summer, we got to try the STEM Fly Light Trap, we basically got to try that for free after rebates but to be honest, it's too expensive and we all know that it's being made in China for $0.50 but they are going to sell to us for $20.  My STEM never caught a fly BUT it did catch two or three gnats.  I will keep buying it as long as it's a money maker!

The long Memorial Day weekend is here!!!!  The mid-day traffic, around lunchtime, on Friday was crazy. I pulled into the Walmart parking lot and the first thing I see is that someone has ran into a parked brand new Honda Civic with the paper license plates and they ran off.  I parked my car and I'm looking for my phone. I realized that I left my phone at Albertsons.  I am so thankful because when I get to Albertsons, it was waiting for me at Customer Service!  Someone was kind enough to turn in my phone!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did I not say at the very beginning of the month that we are going to be busy in the May?  I had no idea that Fetch's Fetchtopia would keep us moving and to be honest, I haven't been able to keep up with all of the Fetchtopia deals because offers vary by account.  Since I've had my Fetch account for quite awhile, I get a lot of "Spend $20 get back $0.50" offers which isn't a deal for me. 

I loved the Wheat Thins freebie at Ralphs/Kroger, it's not something we eat often because it's non-perishable, I can donate them to the Food Pantry. I can do my regular degular grocery shopping and give to my community at the same time.

I was able to pick up more of the Pop-Targets at Ralphs/Kroger because. used our second account -$3 Printable, $3 RCB, $3 CO51 and $3 MP...why not pick them up. Again, they can go to my son or to the Food Pantry.  If you have kids, grandkids, nieces/nephews, you should pick up the Pop-Tarts for them for the summer.

It's the same story with the Pepsi and MTN Dew Blast 12pk, however, the sodas and the STEM went into Pending Jail on MP but I'm not even worried about because I know MP will give us the credit!  Sodas have become outrageously expensive.  I swear, it seems like it was just yesterday, that we still could get 3 packs of sodas at Walgreens for $7.99 or $9.99.  I think the high price of sodas started with CVS and then Rite Aid.  If you want sodas for the summer, you'd better stock up while you can.

Yesterday, I received a $1.50 Aisle bonus offer but the thing is that Aisle's offers have been lacking but I have until the end of the month to take advantage 

For the second time in a row, Fetch has actually made mistakes in my favor.  For example, I went to Ralphs on Friday, I bought four boxes of the Cheez-its on BOGO FREE and they credited me the $0.75/2 twice which means I paid $1.56 per box which nowadays is an amazing price for a snack.

 

Even though, we are saving a ton of money on snacks and drinks, I still feel the pinch on my wallet when I go to the grocery store to do my regular shopping because my total is higher than it four weeks ago even including the fact of the higher egg prices. HOWEVER, I am still seeing silly people still willing to pay higher prices at the register because they are unwilling to clip digital coupons because they don't think should have to do so.

I was at Vons quite early on Friday for the $5 California Pizza Kitchen (Friday Only) deal and to get the whole pizza for $2.30 each is amazing price especially as most pizza restaurants are an outrageous prices for a large pizza regardless if it's delivery or pick up.  I think back in January, we ordered pizza for pick up and it cost like $28.

It's going to be a hot weekend throughout California so make sure that you have plenty of water!

Oh my goodness, I have completed the $5/15 Fairway Fortune Ibotta bonus and I have completed an Ibotta bonus in ions.  Every time, that I redeemed the $4 Air Wick Warmer, the Ibotta software would pick up several $0.05 or $0.10 Any Brand offers so make sure that you have those offers activated and yes, you'll have to sit through those Any Brand videos. The Any Brand offers popped up and the beginning of the week and then the offers have reset.

Everything is kinda in influx especially a lot of the companies/corporations.  For example, yesterday, Growly mentioned that his neighborhood Smart & Final store is closing, this week. I watched a Youtube video, 145% Tariffs Just Broke the U.S. Supply Chain and the guest did such a wonderful job of explaining in layman's terms how the 145% tariffs affects Walmart, Dollar Tree and $5 Below.  Most of those stores already know that you and I cannot the 145% Tariffs and the stores/corporations cannot afford to absorb the 145% tariffs, therefore, these companies will turn the ships around or the containers will go to Bonded Warehouse and sit in the warehouse until the tariffs go down OR they'll pay the tax to get the products out of the Bonded Warehouse and they'll push that tariff off on us, the consumer.  

If you want to watch the 145% Tariffs Just Broke the U.S. Supply Chain on YouTube without the commercials, download a dedicated browser (I use Google Chrome) and download an ad blocker (I use UBlock Origin Lite) and you can google how to instal Ublock on Chrome and it takes less than 5 minutes.

The tariffs will take out the Dollar Tree because they get that stuff from China, it's take out the Hobby Lobby because they get that stuff from China, ANY fast food restaurant, the napkins, little sauces, the cups for the soda, the little bag for the fries all that stuff comes from China and it's been coming from China for YEARS.  Corporations gave away our factory jobs to oversea companies to continue increasing their big profits and they that's how we have so many billionaires.  The American workers (also, the Europeans) have been expendable.  

Our fight is not with immigrates, it's the billion corporations that has sold us out.

They've bought supreme court justices, politicians and I guess eventual game plan is that we'll all be serfs?  We shall see.  I love that the new Pope Leo had let it be known his thoughts about certain things and situations.  I am also loving the new Canadian Prime Minister Carney.

This is our first weekend of the new month and I already know that this month is going to be better than the first four months of 2025 combined.  It's been a rough four months and we've got our little goodies ready for Cinco de Mayo. It's not about being elaborate, it's about enjoying spending time together.

On May 1st, I had mentioned that I tried to withdraw my money from BrandClub but they were requesting that I prove my identity.  The rebate apps are doing to do much as we've already paid for the product and all they are doing is giving us a product discount.

However, my intuition told me "Keep checking the app, there's going to be a glitch and you'll be able to get your money at that time."  It was probably 12 hours later and I saw the app button was lit up for me to cash out and it worked!  As soon as the money hit my Venmo account, I closed out my account and deleted the app!  The app fulfilled it purpose and I no longer need it.

In a couple of weeks, I am letting my Amazon Prime membership expire because I have to stand on business. I don't agree with these big corporations and CEO's that have agency over me because I'm not a billionaire.  I don't want us to be a serf.  Let the billionaires jet off to Mars or wherever it is and leave us alone.  Even thought, I am taking this stand, I still am going to miss having my Amazon Prime.

I had gotten so accustomed to looking on Amazon and getting things in a day or two without even leaving my home.  In fact, my mom's Mother's Day gift has already arrived in Sacramento via Amazon.

GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE!!! HELLO, CHERYL!!! 

So.... yesterday, I parked in front of my building (I live in a multi-story condo) and I was carrying the toilet paper that got from Ralphs to the side door and I was approached by three elderly looking ladies asking me "Are there any Spanish speaking families in this building?"  I said, "Why do you ask? This is privately owned property."  I had the door opened by then and I slammed the door in her face.  All of my neighbors speak English to me, I don't know if they speak other languages or not and I have not asked and I don't want to know.  

It is officially spring and in a normal year, we'd see cyclical products on sale like allergy products, cleaning supplies for spring cleaning...and we'd normally see products for Cinco de Mayo but since Cinco de Mayo is on a Monday most folks will probably celebrate next Saturday or Sunday.  

About two weeks ago, at the 805 & El Cajon Blvd, in San Diego, they closed the Spanish Market and it was the only one in my area. There's not a Spanish Market in any of the neighborhoods downtown, Hillcrest, University Heights, North Park, South Park, Kensington, etc.  I am saying all this to say expect more neighborhood/ethnic market closures.  Smaller stores always survived on smaller profit margins and with tariffs, they won't be able to survive the higher costs, they will just close down without notice.

Again, enjoy this Easter weekend with your family but also stock up on the coffee deals at Ralphs because as NJ reminded us that coffee isn't made here and we are trying to avoid those tariffs.

If you have the 3,000 Fetch Rewards offer for the Good Humor Holanda Frozen Bars, you can actually get the ice cream bars for Free + Maker.  My offer is only for a 1,000 points but I know that I am not supposed have every offer and there is a better suited offer for me just around the corner.  I absolutely hate when I buy something and nobody likes it, case in point: No one here likes the Starry Sodas, we cannot stomach those sodas so I avoid the soda at all cost even when they are free....those sodas are a hard pass for us.

While you are out and about, this weekend, stop by Smart & Final for the Planter Peanuts 52 oz for $0.99, it's an amazing price!

Yesterday, I did have to put in a Trouble Ticket to Shopkick for the California Pizza Kitchen because how Vons/Albertsons product description lists the quantity is such a funky way that the software doesn't recognize the quantity.  They initially gave me 550 points but I bought 2 pizzas so I had to wait 12 hours for them to me the other missing 550 points.

So, this past Wednesday, I was unable to sign into my Vons account. I was able to sign into my Vons account on Tuesday but not Wednesday morning, however, I was able to log into my other accounts without a problem.  I can still access my account via the Vons app but I like activating my coupons on the computer.  Anyways, I got in touch with Customer Service and we walked through all the steps.  He eventually resets my password and I walk through those steps to no avail.  The guy escalate my problem to IT and of course, I already know that I'll never hear from those guys.  

Since my account has the Fresh Pass, I'll be calling the Fresh Pass VIP 1 (877) 767-2545 for an assist.

I am so glad that we are couponers because these last two weeks of going back and forth about the tariffs has had my nerves about shot but for our stockpiles kept me sane. Typically, I don't buy protein bars because we don't eat a lot of protein bars but if tariffs are going to be put into place and we won't be able to afford to buy snacks in future, I'm going to stock up on protein bars.  

Yesterday, I bought one of those Lindt Golden Chocolate Easter Rabbits and I looked on the back of the rabbit and of course...it's made in Germany.

I bought a few more things at Sephora (the Sephora Spring Sale ends 4/14) because a lot of make up and skin care products are not made in the US.  In fact, the new Valentino Donna Born In Roma Extradose Eau de Parfum...I bought it!  I have bought all kinds of necessities for our home and personal care items. Again, thankful for the free oral care products, deodorants, hair care, Kleenex,  hand soaps, allergy meds, lotions and so many other items from couponing.
