Every once in awhile, I'll get a store employee ask me "Why do you want to return it?" and my response is each and every time is "Because I don't want it."...and the employee completes the return right away.
As long as you are within the timeframe of their return policy and you have the receipt, you can return the product.

Don’t fall for that. It’s not worth the risk. Points on an app mean absolutely nothing. At any time they can devalue those points, ban you on the app or the app can completely shut down like it did here (Shopkicks). You need to redeem those points for something of value the absolute second you are able to.
Everyone goes on about how the higher value gift cards on Fetch have better redemption value but it’s not worth the risk to save up 50,000 points. I’ve seen so many horror stories of people getting banned when they try to redeem a high value card.

Heads up to anyone who uses shopkick, the company is gone. App is offline, website gone. The company shut down this morning. There was no advance warning to any of the employees.
If you haven't cashed out already, 🙃. If you redeemed for gift cards I really hope you wrote down the numbers for them, bc the app is completely offline.
Partner worked for them up until a few hours ago when they called everyone into a virtual meeting to tell them.
The gift cards are pre-bought by shopkick, meaning if you already redeemed and have the code, they are yours. They were required to buy the gift cards ahead of time for people to claim, they already existed. They will not be revoked if you have the codes saved or already transferred them to their corresponding website (ex: target, Amazon).
Just trying to advise to save some people from panic, not to do any damage control for shopkick. They can pound sand.
Reddit comments say that the employees were notified this morning and they didn't get any severance pay.
