Corporations are always looking for ways to keep your money and should you have an extended medical or family emergency, Ibotta will charge $3.99 per month after 6 months of account non-activity.
I saw this comment on Slick Deal below:
ibotta is now deducting 3.99 per month from your balance if you haven't redeemed an offer in a set amount of time. You have to accumulate $20 to cash out and it's not my fault if they don't have any offers I want and my money just sits there. They've taken 7.98 from me. I can't see why it's costing them anything to sit on my money. Thoughts?
This rule has existed a while. I believe it is 6 months with no activity. It's so easy to just do an 'any receipt' or any item offer to keep your account active.
If you withdraw your money from your Ibotta account on a regular basis and if an emergency do come up or you need to take an extended break from couponing, you won't be loosing too much money.
