Money Matters

WOW, we made it through spring and summer (fall is just three weeks away) enduring horrendously high gas prices but as Couponers, we buckled down and put in the work of saving money because not only did we have high fuel prices but we also battling inflation on everyday necessities like food at the grocery stores.

As most of you know, I retired my old blog because my web host had raised their prices and we are now on Blogger, the free blog hosting platform...and boy, does it feel like I've gone back into the stone ages!🤣

Every time that I create a new post, I have to keep messing with the format, i.e., I want it in Times New Roman, I want the text "Normal", I want the paragraph "Normal" and I want the font color to be "Black"  Once I have some spare time, I'll have to do a google search on "formatting" Blogger posts.

Anyways, I am over the moon at how many amazing deals that we did in the month August and so many food deals.  I did the Bubly Sparkling Water $1.73, this week and I had tried the Bubly previously but I didn't understand the Bubly hype, however, this time, I grabbed a strawberry, cherry and blackberry flavors...and now, I understand the hype especially since there aren't any calories nor sodium!

O.M.G....the Fruit of the Loom ladies undies for $0.10 each with the Swagbucks and CO51 offers!!!  Are they as ascetically pleasing as Victoria's Secrets panties....probably not but you cannot beat $0.10 for each panty.  I knew that we'd have to go in person to find those underwear because when I looked on dotcom and Brick Seek, they were both saying that they didn't have it but I knew the last time I'd walked around the clothing section that I seen bonus package panties. When I have time, I always walk around looking for clearance items.

I received $156.87 from Ibotta, I have $32.22 in CO51 but I am still waiting for one more receipt to approved before I request my money, on Shopkicks, I am within 1,000 points of a $25 gift card, I requested a $25 Target gc from Fetch Rewards.

Now, for Swagbucks, I received $150 Target gift cards and over the weekend, I'd requested another $50 Target gift card and I still have 4,500+ Swagbucks points sitting in my account and I am awaiting for 900 ($9) points credit on my purchase of the Werther's Caramel Popcorn. There was lot of Money Makers to be had with Swagbucks, MyPoints, Tada or Inbox Dollars as long as you are flexible and you are willing to follow the money.

Keep in mind that I am using store rewards, gift cards, PayPal debit card, rebate apps etc to not actually use out of pocket.  At the end of every month, I take all of the rebate apps down to zero and start all over again in the new month.

Let me say that I do take the fruits of my labor and I bought very nice bed pillows with the Target gift cards without feeling guilty about it because we needed new bed pillows and couponing is all about getting the things that you need!  I sure wish that Target still sold perfumes inside their stores!
