This morning, I ran over to Whole Foods in Hillcrest for the FREE Meatballs and they totally did not have them. Don't go to Hillcrest between Whole Foods and Ralphs/Trader Joe's because the city has a lot of construction going on and road closures and I certainly would go over there during rush hour. If you are not local to the area, you are going to be hemmed up and frustrated by the local street madness.
On my way back home, I stopped by the Sprouts (the Whole Foods/Ralphs/Trader Joe is probably a mile and quarter from Sprouts) to get the FREE Comvita Manuka Honey Drops and at this particular store, the drops are in the Cold & Flu aisle but the box is pretty small. I almost missed it because for some reason I was expecting a bigger box.
If you are in the South Bay of San Diego and you want to get to Hillcrest quickly, you take 5 North to 15 North to 163 but you don't get onto the 163, you just stay in the lane and it turns into 5th Ave. and go up the hill and make the left turn at University Ave. into the right lane if you are going to Whole Foods. There is street parking...if you are lucky, otherwise, you'll have to park on top of the building and you'll see ramp to go park on the building. Do not drive your Ford F350 or SUV or a Cyber Truck to the Whole Foods in Hillcrest. Even the Ralphs and Trader Joe's in Hillcrest, I would not drive a large vehicle because the parking is tight and most of the parking is underground.
They're over $1 per drop! I put them back.
