Why are so many companies updating their terms to access their website?

 

This morning, I went to Ralphs.com and I had to read the pop-up that is shown above.  It's very odd that they are all updating their websites and changing their Terms & Conditions to access their website and we have no choice in the matter if we wish to clip digital coupons or view our account.

Even Mypoints and Swagbucks are pushing for you to read their updated Terms & Conditions.

With so many companies updating their Terms & Conditions all at the same time, I already no that the changes that they have made will not be beneficial to their customers.
