Money Matters

It's October which means that we can go to our rebate apps and requests our funds!!!! Unfortunately, going through my numbers, I really didn't do a lot of deals because the deals just were not there but we still got some exceptional deals due to readers that contributed to the blog and shared deals!!!!

How shocking that I struggled to redeem my Merryfield points for a $10 Sephora gift card and this is why I recommend that you always request your funds or gift cards as soon as you eligible to do so because we never know when a company is in trouble and about to go under.

The unionized workers at the ports on the East Coast are on strike for higher wages and a complete ban on the use of automated cranes, gates and container-moving trucks in unloading or loading freight at ports.  Thank goodness that some of the blue collar workers are still unionized because all the white collar people working in tech are getting laid off by thousands are being laid off due to artificial intelligence.

There isn't anymore job security because there are no laws in place that says that a specific job must be performed by a human.  For example, CVS can rid of all of their pharmacists and the pharmacy technicians and replace with robots.  Kroger or Walmart could get rid of all of their cashiers, stockers, managers, etc. and replace them with automation.  They could literally make you wait in your car until the robot comes to your car and you put your groceries in your car, you'll never going into another store again and they won't have to worry about shoplifting.

Anyways, next month Thanksgiving and with the port strike, you may want to stock up on few items. You might want to stock up on some Christmas gifts for the kids. We are also supposed to be voting, next month, but I think everyone is wore out from politics!🤣

I am so happy that at the very beginning of 2024 that I bought everyone's birthday gifts because there was a lot of after Christmas sales and I swooped in and got them on the cheap.  Honestly, I'm going to start my Christmas shopping.

I received $64.45 from Ibotta, $10 Apple gift card from Merryfield and $28.54 from Brand Club.

Below are my favorite deals in the month of September:

$0.50 MM MTN Dew 20 oz

FREE Palmolive Dish Soap 32.5oz

Keebler Fudge Stripes Cookies $0.18 ea
