Kroger announces it's merging with Albertsons in a $24.6 billion

I knew, yesterday, when Financial Twitter posted that Kroger was in talks to combine with Albertsons that it was a done deal.

    I am so not happy about this. We don't have a lot of big grocery stores so I think this will lose the competing advantage. And there are a lot of things about Safeway that I like better then our Kroger affiliate including coupon usage and fuel rewards (which at Safeway we can use for things other than fuel).
