The corporations are expecting the worst financially for 2027 and they need as much profit as they can garner for the last three months of 2026 because they know that the handwriting is the wall. They are closing the Starbucks, Denny's and Wendy's and other places because people don't have the discretionary income to go to these places.
Over the last couple of weeks, it's been highly reported that Atlanta had 144,000 evictions over the last 12 months which means that people cannot afford any sort of setback, price increases, job losses or rebates on hold for 3 or 4 days (we see you Ibotta).
If a deal doesn't work out then go back to the store and return the item for a refund. No harm, no foul.
Again, start picking up things Thanksgiving and Christmas when you see something that is a great price!
