Taco Bell has stopped using lettuce in their products.  When I was a kid working at Taco Bell, after school, we used to wash to heads of lettuce in the sink and we'd use some kind of machine to shred the lettuce. Honestly, it took us no time to wash and shred lettuce so I don't know why Taco Bell has outsourced shredded lettuce to another company and they can no longer maintain quality control of their food in-house.
