A heat advisory for the San Diego County coastal and valley areas remains in effect until 8 p.m. Friday.

An extreme heat warning is in effect for the San Diego County desert areas until 8 p.m. on Saturday.

Make sure to stay hydrated during this unprecedented heat wave in the month of March.  In my North Park neighborhood of San Diego, we are 24 degrees above normal for this time of the year.
