Man, I hate to hear that most of the Saks Off 5th and Last Call stores are closing. For me, these stores were a better alternative than going to the outlet malls because the parking at the outlets in Southern California is horrendous with the exception being the Cabazon Outlet Mall. I really hate that so many people are being fired and laid off. Throughout my 20's and 30's, I went from job to job. People would just ask me if I'd be interested in a particular job, they'd recommend me for the job and I'd get the job. I just so happen to complete my college degrees by the time I was 40 years old. Companies were still going out of business but nowhere near how they are going out of business today. I just saw that tech workers that were laid off, last year, are being called by recruiters to do contract work for $20/hr. which is what fast food worker earn. You cannot make this stuff up.
