Can I say to always trust your intuition even when it's counter intuitive to what you know! First things, first. I almost bought multiples of the Planter Peanut 52 oz but my intuition said just buy one so I put back the second can. I then grabbed two of the California Pizza Kitchen pizzas and two of the DiGiorno pizzas and I walked up to the registers where I realized that I'd left my phone in the car. I had to back to the car because I need for the cashier to scan my Smart & Final bar code to get the sales price.
I get my phone and walk back into the car and the cashier rings up 5 items but I added gum to make it six items.
HOWEVER, the cashier says "Oh, I've entered a phone number for you and I don't need to scan your bar code."
HUH???????????
I told her, no and I said, "I want you to scan my bar code so I can get the sales price."
The cashier said my final price was $5.83!!!!!!!!!
Smart & Final charged me $0.49 for the DiGiorono and $0.99 for the California Pizza Kitchen, $0.88 for the Planters Peanuts 52oz and $1.99 for the gum.
Obviously, Smart & Final are aware of the issue and they can fix the issue at anytime...but I'm sure that a lot of folks like the programmers are off today or on vacation for an extra long weekend!
Reminder: Don't buy the 2 Liter Sodas with the Planters (thanks, Denise!)
I might go over there and try it today. Remember do not buy soda with the peanuts. It did not work for me.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as the cashier told me that it was $5.83, I knew that there was some sort of glitch. Just two of the pizzas would have been $7.98 and I could not wait to look at my receipt!😂
