This has been strange week especially with our internet dying (it was actually, the modem that died and it was reason why we couldn't get a signal), my Apple Watch died and then this business with the Degree Deodorant Ibotta offer died earlier today, around lunchtime.
I had actually went to two Walmart stores after my hair appointment because the first Walmart had put all of the deodorants, toothpaste/oral care, razors and shaving creams in anti-theft cases and they have 10 Walmart employees in Self Checkout but no one available to open the anti-theft cases...so, I left that store and went to the Walmart closer to my home where they only have the makeup in the anti-theft cases.
Anyways, I grabbed the Degree Mens Deodorant for $3.97 and I used the Ibotta scanner to confirm that the item was a participating product for the rebate. I'm like 8 minutes from home and there wasn't a Countdown Clock on the offer so I didn't feel a need to rush and submit my receipt.
Uggghhhhh! I should have rushed and submitted my receipt because by the time I got home and submitted my receipt, the offer had disappeared...but my instinct told me that Ibotta would bring back the offer since it had disappeared without warning.
They did bring back the offer but with modifications as they had excluded the Degree Original Men's Antiperspirant Deodorant, Cool Rush, 2.7oz which is the $3.97 variety of deodorant. However, I caught a somewhat of a lucky break in that they did pay me for one of the deodorants which since we have until the end of January 2026 to make Walmart returns, I have plenty of time to make the return.
