If it's football season, it must mean that it's also homemade chili season. If you are having a few friends over to watch a football game, homemade chili is a favorite because you just throw the ingredients into a crockpot and let it cook! I don't even cut the vegetables, I buy the diced onions, bell peppers and the jalapeños in the Produce Department. You can find chili recipes online or on YouTube.
