Reddit to the rescue, again!🤣

I typically don't like to pay full price for something if I can help it.  The dress shown above is from Banana Republic and it's normally priced at $200.  The gives off a nautical theme, to me, because it's dark navy blue and it uses a rope for belt.  They lowered the dress to $99 and then they had a sale for an additional 40% off and I hopped on the dress to buy it.

The dress came in and the dress is too big because they sent the wrong size and they no longer had the dress in my size.

I kept the dress because I had planned to have the dressed tailored because I knew that the dress was going to be too long.  However, I needed to find a new seamstress because although my previous seamstress does good work...she's too disorganized and she goes wayyyy past the date you are scheduled to pick up clothing, therefore, I need to find another seamstress.

Once again, Reddit to the rescue!  I actually did a google search "best seamstress san diego" and there was thread on best seamstress in San Diego!  I am taking my dress to Sew Elegant off of El Cajon Blvd.  I am only 5'2" 1/2 in height and this a regular size dress.  If they would have had the dress in petite sizing, I would have grabbed that instead.

This dress is perfect for our weather in San Diego because it is lightweight and I can wear it with white tennis shoes, heels or sandals. I probably wouldn't wear the dress with boots.  It's going to be an easy dress throw on and go and still look pulled together.

Anyways, if you are looking for a clothing item at a particular store keep checking their website for sales and discounts.  I checked their website for this dress, at least, once a week for about six weeks before I hit the jackpot!
