Money Matters

It's March which means that we can go to our rebate apps and requests our funds!!!!  I noticed that Checkout 51 has added Venmo as a company that you can use to cash out.  They've also added some security safety protocols for cashing out like logging into your account, texting a code to your phone and I think that they may have added the infamous motorcycle captcha, too.  Maybe, the rebate apps should follow some of the banking protocols.  Maybe form a Tiger Team to resolve the issue instead texting us a code to withdraw our funds.

Again, March was a pretty slow month for deals BUT at the beginning of March, we had that $30 Money Maker and I am still excited about that deal! I always check the store app to ensure that there is stock available on the shelf before wasting my time!  Even checking inventory online doesn't guarantee by the time we get there that someone has cleared the shelves.

Another thing that I do is I make sure to activate the rebate offers because leaving my home because some times, the rebates apps will let those that already had the deals activated redeem the offer and for everyone else, it disappears.

I know that a lot of you have gotten your tax refunds, please hold onto it and let it build in your savings account.  Yesterday, I spoke to a family member and I swear to God, they were talking about buying a Mercedes and I was doing my best to talk them off that cliff!  Anyone that is thinking of making an expensive purchase should have it already incorporated into your budget.  Do your research.  The research is easy with google. Around here, everybody and their mama drives a Mercedes or a BMW and while you are at the grocery store or gas station, you can ask the driver about their car.  There are whole forums about these higher priced cars. You have to anticipate that your car insurance, car registration, gasoline, tires and OEM parts will all go up.  When we bought my BMW (we paid cash), I increased the line items in the budget for insurance, registration and car maintenance.  Your car(s) need to be apart of your monthly budget.

Anyways, I've received $89.80 from Ibotta, $23.33 from CO51, $10 & $25 Amazon gift card from Swagbucks, $10 from Shopkicks and $23.79 from Brand Club!
