A reader, Growly, wanted to share his experience with Shopkick and it's another opportunity for me to say to redeem your money or points from the rebate apps. Growly says the following:
Many years ago, Shopkick shut down a bunch of accounts (including mine),
accusing us of cheating the system (e.g. faking the scans, etc). 😡
Shopkick didn't listen to any of us, saying that we would never do such a thing.
We
all found out that they didn't shut us out of our accounts, but just
not able to redeem our kicks. However, they forgot to shut off redeeming
our kicks from one major company (Macy's). We stuck it back to them and
everyone redeemed for Macy's gift cards, which we strangely all
received in the mail.
It took me so many years to redeem the $400+ Macy's gift cards for things. 🤣
This reiterates all the stories to never hoard points too long, as the company easily could remove them, shut down altogether, etc.
