Yesterday, we were tired from my brother's Sunday night birthday party but we had to be up early to get to the airport on Monday which the airport is always busy on Mondays and we had to arrive during the morning commute. We checked our bags outside and then headed to the TSA line where it felt like it was snaked around the airport.
As we got closer to the front, we saw that the Sacramento Airport (SMF) has the Facial Recognition Software and the TSA agents wasn't asking if you wanted to participate, they kind of usher to an IPAD type of thing, it looks like the picture above, and you kind stand in no particular fashion nor are you guided to turn or tilt your head but the next thing you know, you directed to go to the next line. I'd say that it takes less than 2 minutes.
Last year, September 2023, the Sacramento Airport didn't have the Facial Recognition Software when I went through the airport. New technology is coming for all of us whether we are ready or not!
San Diego Airport doesn't have the Facial Recognition Software, yet.
