Going into the weekend, we were expecting rain on Saturday, Sunday and Monday but we got a lot of rain. It just kept raining and raining and raining like Noah's Ark rain. If you've ever been to the San Diego airport, you'll see the boats on the water as you are driving Harbor Bvld. The picture above is of Harbor Blvd completely flooded and it turns out that the San Diego airport was hit with 3.28 inches of rain.
San Diegans you can see the rainfall totals from yesterday HERE.
The San Diego mayor had to declare a state of emergency due to all of the flooding, the street closures, the rescues and public transit was either shut down or a complete and utter mess!
We had power and internet outages and when the power and internet was "back on", the power was flickering and the internet kept dropping.
Thank goodness, today, we may get some light showers but nothing major. If at all possible, stay home today because there are a lot of area's still flooded.
San Diego saw widespread flooding following powerful rainfall that prompted the city’s mayor to declare a state of emergency.
