Money Matters

 

YAY, we are stepping into the month of June and it's the last month comfortable month, weather wise, and July, August, September and October, we will be dealing the unbearable heat of summer.  The good news that June, we should see lots and lots of food deals for the upcoming Juneteenth and 4 of July holidays!!!

One of the things that you will learn in couponing is that we must be flexible.  For example, for years, I bought the Secret deodorant in the Powder scent for $0.99 at Walmart and with inflation, it now sell for $3.97.  We have to make a choice do we want to spend money for our favorite deodorant or do we get the deodorant that is Free and/or Money Maker and we can spurge on a steak or something else?

It was Dove body wash & Dove body polish deal at CVS that I was starting realize that there was something wrong with one of my amigos and that I was probably down to 2 amigos and I am still able to make money!!! My last Bing payout was towards the end of April and I'm so grateful that they cashed me out. You must remember that prior to December, I was only using two amigos and I was very happy.

I think that our first Money Maker deal, in the May, was the Genexa and I made $36.93 across two Rite Aid cards. I was super lucky with the Genexa deal because my store had enough of the Genexa for me to get four per card and my store had mostly the cheaper Genexa Tummy at $2.47 than the more expensive $4.47 kind. 

We then rolled the Genexa Money Maker into the Arm & Hammer toothpaste and it was a $4.51 Money Maker and of course, I did it across both of my accounts.

The changes that Fetch Rewards made in increasing the points required to redeem a gift card, thereby devaluing their points is kind of pain because they have also added multiple ways to earn points, i.e.,  Absolut Vodka 2,000 pts,  Hellmen's or Best Foods 2,000 pts wys $10, Burt's Bees 200 per $1.  I also don't like the game because, I only big the first week and now, I only win like 5 points when I submit my receipt.
