When the Money Doesn't Make Sense, It's Not True

As many of you know that I started tracking the amigos officially in January and it really should have been quite easy regardless if one paid $1 on January 5th and the other two paid $1 on January 6, there should not be much of a discrepancy by January 31st.

But one of the things that I had not accounted for was that Amigo #1 which is the original amigo, he always gets all of the offers first and tends to have the longest expiration date.  Amigos #2 and #3, may or may not get the offer and the expiration dates may vary.

I knew in January that there was a problem with the amigos so February, I was legit tracking payments weekly and the numbers were skewed and out of whack...and it was all very frustrating to me.  It's not rocket science but it wasn't until the beginning of last week that I finally figure out what was going on with the three amigos!

1. The three amigos are related and it's imperative that you have a different PayPal email address for each amigo.  Amigo #1, you can delete the PayPal email and add a new PayPal email. I also think that the 4th amigo is a relative, too.

2. If two of the amigos have your same PayPal email info, they share the info with each other and when they pay you, only one amigo is paying you because your PayPal email is acting kinda like it's own routing number and what happens is that when you submit a receipt to the three, they shake hands and start talking to each other and they populate the Transaction ID# across each amigo and each amigo relays to you that you have been paid but you haven't because amigo 1 & 2 use the same data and amiga 3, the baby girl, only deals in gift cards and so she doesn't say or pay anything.

3. Once a particular offer has been completed (paid), it is retired and dead, no matter if the amigos have two or three iterations of the same offer (i.e. Colgate), their system doesn't remember the redemption of the previous offer and it doesn't remember the receipt that you used on the original redemption, as long as, it's within the prescribed dates.

4. Before going to store to do an amigos deal, YOU must go to each amigo account and ensure that the offer is there...because some of the offers show up in our accounts at various dates and times.

5. Go into your PayPal account and click on an amigo's transaction and then at the bottom, you'll see "Show History" and you can see all your payments from that particular amigo AND also the Transaction ID #.  You can go back and check, for example, if you received a $2 payment from amigo 1 and 2, you should have a different Transaction ID #...if you are using different PayPal email addresses.

I know that I have lurkers out there that do not leave comments but they are following all the deals.🤣

You CANNOT complain to none of the amigos about your money not being right... just return it back to the store...no harm, no foul.

If your money isn't right, leave a comment.

  1. I haven't had a problem with any of the (now 4) amigos and then paying out to my Paypal. I get e-mails from the amigo and then Paypal when I get paid.
