Money Matters

It was so humid in San Diego, on Sunday, the weather made me feel like I was in Florida or Hawaii. On Saturday, we actually some rain but not much but we had thunder and lightning.

Anyway, it's May which means that we can go to our rebate apps and requests our funds!!!!

In May, we got all kinds of FREE or cheap snacks and sodas and we are almost ready for our 4th of July celebration!😂

I predicted that the month of May was going to be a busy month and I'm think, too, that June is going to be a busy month and that's because retailers and manufacturers are trying to get us into Target, Walmart, CVS, etc. with this back and forth with the tariffs, the firings and the layoffs, most people are in no mood to spend money, they are staying closer to home and hoarding. Corporations are going to the rebate apps to get us away from our homes...and we will take full advantage of the situation.

Within a 24 hour period, during the Memorial Day weekend, I had like $48 money maker and my brother had PayPal us another $50 for dinner on him.  Mid May, Amazon sent us an email saying that they was giving $200+ gift card because they believed that we had made returns and they took too long to investigate what had occurred but we are unaware of not receiving our credits but thank you for erroring on the side of the customer!

A few months ago, I signed up to do some voluntary work. Can I say that everything is negotiable even when you are doing volunteer work?  When I filled out the application, it said I'd be doing X, Y, Z during this timeframe. However, a month later they had tried to change terms and conditions and I called them out on it.  I let them know that they were attempting to change the "offer" that I had already been "accepted".

I always talk to you guys in terms of "the offer" because it's an important terminology used in a court of law.  The rebate apps have been very lucky that they haven't been sued for changing their terms of condition. When we activate an offer, it's essentially acceptance of the offer.  The rebate apps don't get sued because they know that a lawyer isn't going to take a case over a $1.25 rebate but I do believe that someone will eventually file a class action lawsuit over the rebate apps always changing the terms without notice.

Offer and acceptance is apart of our daily lives - when we buy a car, a home, when we are given a receipt for groceries, medical services, etc.  Receipts go back more than 5,000 years when they were etched receipts in stone. A receipt is evidence of a contract.

I have received $92.10 from Ibotta, $50 Target gift card from Fetch, $35 from CO51, $45 from RCB, $25 Amazon gift card and $10 Target gift card from Swagbucks, $25 Amazon from SK and a $25 Target gift card from MP.

Below is my favorite deals in the month of May:

$0.28 Gatorade

$8 MM Ballpark hamburger buns (did the deal twice)

FREE Bubly Burst 6 Drinks

$14 MM Sheba Cat Food

Free Wheat Thins

$15 MM STEM

$4 MM Gold Bond Powder

$17 MM Skyy Vodka

4 Boxes of Cheez-Its $0.12 ea

$1.99 MM STUR Drink Enhancer

$5.61 MM Hallmark Cards
