This is happening in the US, too⛽️

Dollars to donuts, our government is examining plans to ration gas.  I don't know what the precipitous event that cause our government, back in the 1970's, to ration gas in the US but obviously something had happened in the Middle East.  I looked it up:

The 1974 fuel shortage was primarily caused by the 

Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) implementing an oil embargo in October 1973. The embargo targeted the U.S., Japan, and several Western European nations for supporting Israel in the Yom Kippur War, resulting in a 350% increase in oil prices and severe supply shortages.

This not only impact putting gas in our cars but also the price of the food, airline flight, our whole way of living. If your kids or grandkids are in any type of extracurricular activities, you as the adult, will have to make the hard decisions.
