There are currently two separate offers on aisle for buy one get one Churn (spreadable) butter. I just purchased two of them, and was able to redeem both offers successfully in separate text receipt photo submissions.

These were in a front fridge section near checkout lines (almost didn’t find them), with a “Last Chance” tag, so maybe not being stocked there for long? Could also just be those flavors / regional thing.

I meant to put in the previous Whole Earth post that there are two Whole Earth Ibotta offers and you should clip both offers since I don't know which one qualifies for what offer.

Wait a minute, let me back up.  I went to Walmart to pick up some odds and ends for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day and to avoid all the rain in our forecast (of course, it started raining as soon as I turned on the car!)...and I picked up the Whole Earth 80ct Munk Fruit & Allulose and I was credited for $1.75 by Ibotta which makes my purchase a $1.75 Money Maker!!!!

I did check Fetch and Merryfield but they didn't have any Whole Earth offers.

Free Lunar New Year calendar from Chase Bank

 

Chase Bank gives free calendars and red envelopes for LNY every year while supplies last. I believe the banks are just beginning to get their supply of calendars and envelopes. One branch didn't have any and another one only had calendars. They are expecting the envelopes in the next week or so. I believe they may limit the qty per person but it will depend on your branch. Also, I wasn't asked if I am a Chase customer. I simply went to a teller and asked for it.

LNY begins on Feb 16, 2026, and it's the year of the Fire Horse. I read that it's a rare 60-year cycle for the fire horse to make an appearance.

I read over the Christmas that companies like Kroger, Target, Vons, McDonald's, CVS, Starbucks, Taco Bell  and other companies that uses the credit card/debit card machines to solicit donations directly or the whole round up to a whole dollar scheme , it's basically a scam because what these companies do is deposit the money into their banks and they collect on the interest on the money that you donate. 

The company decides how your donation will be used.  For example, in the picture above, it says "Donate to help save homeless pets?" The wording is ambiguous which means that they can donate the money to their favorite senator or representative to "help".  The company can give the money to their own foundation which is ran by the CEO's sons, daughters and/or grandchildren (nepotism).

Also, keep in mind that the corporation also gets to claim a tax write-off for your donation but you cannot file a donation claim from donating to stores.

Our country is at a precipice of war and throwing away our constitution because we are giving and donating to billionaire companies that don't have a conscience.

If you want to give to an animal shelter, go buy the dog/cat food and give it directly to the shelter. We can no longer give blindly to make ourselves feel better. We have to give conscience intent because we work too hard to give away our money to greedy billionaire corporations!

I knew this was coming. When I was working, I used to attend a lot of meetings outside of my office and typically, the meeting were scheduled for like 1 o'clock and normally, the morning of the meeting, we are prepping for the meeting and my team and I would leave for lunch at 11:30 for lunch and then head to the meeting. The food quality has vastly changed and not for the better and it's more expensive.

As a company, when you hear about increased tariffs and food prices, you must figure out a way to pivot to survive.  Part of the problem is that nepotism has taken over good common sense.  Instead they hire their kids, cousins, in-laws, aunts and uncles to run companies that they've never ate at.  

These companies are going to find out the hard way that customers are not going to come for bad food at high prices and they'll be another company biting the dust.

While we were in Sacramento, we ate at the Chili's Restaurant in Rancho Cordova off of Hwy 50 (near White Rock Rd) and we had such a pleasant experience there. The food and service were  excellent and the prices were amazing for a mid-tier restaurant and they had all football games playing on the television, we had a great time! People will pay for an experience but they won't pay high prices for grab and go consumption...this is why more and more people are walking away from Starbucks, it's too expensive and they gotten away from their coffee roots!

The Shopkick improvement I like

 

This morning, I was looking on the homepage of the Shopkick app and I noticed that I only needed 745 Kicks ($2.98) to request a $50 Amazon gift card!  I walked right across the street to Vons and grabbed four Ferrero Rocher Chocolate Bars for $14 (Yes, I could have just gotten one bar for $3.50) and I got back $12.46 Kicks and I've already received the $50 Amazon gift card and I've added to my Amazon account!

Can I say to always trust your intuition even when it's counter intuitive to what you know!  First things, first. I almost bought multiples of the Planter Peanut 52 oz but my intuition said just buy one so I put back the second can. I then grabbed two of the California Pizza Kitchen pizzas and two of the DiGiorno pizzas and I walked up to the registers where I realized that I'd left my phone in the car.  I had to back to the car because I need for the cashier to scan my Smart & Final bar code to get the sales price.

I get my phone and walk back into the car and the cashier rings up 5 items but I added gum to make it six items.

HOWEVER, the cashier says "Oh, I've entered a phone number for you and I don't need to scan your bar code."

HUH???????????

I told her, no and I said, "I want you to scan my bar code so I can get the sales price."

The cashier said my final price was $5.83!!!!!!!!!

Smart & Final charged me $0.49 for the DiGiorono and $0.99 for the California Pizza Kitchen, $0.88 for the Planters Peanuts 52oz and $1.99 for the gum.  

Obviously, Smart & Final are aware of the issue and they can fix the issue at anytime...but I'm sure that a lot of folks like the programmers are off today or on vacation for an extra long weekend!
