If you are a veteran, you can go to the VA and ask your doctor for note an emotional service dog. Also, if you are a veteran and you left the military with a honorable discharge, you are in entitled to free/cheap health care through the Veteran's Administration (VA). Make an appointment at your local VA because why pay medical through your job when can get medical through the VA?
The VA offers all kinds of services for veterans like find jobs and all kinds of stuff especially if you have any type of addiction problem or you are in need of housing or you are about to be out on the streets. Military service is a jarring experience and it's not a hand out to get what is coming to you.
My youngest brother has a small dog and it was his doctor, at the VA, that suggested an emotional service dog for him.
