Plotting and Planning 🏈

GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE!!!!!! HI, CHERYL!!!!!!

Last weekend was wild because not only did a lot of people had gotten paid on the first of the month which landed on a Thursday but also people were prepping for this forecasted catastrophic atmospheric river storm that was going to hit most of California and like 33 million people in California was under this extreme weather warning for Monday and Tuesday and then regular rain on Wednesday and Thursday.  People where stocking up on everything and they carts full groceries and necessities because at least in my area, during the last storm 2 weeks ago, we had power outages and down internet and flooded streets and sidewalks.

I live in the "mid-city" area of San Diego which means I do not have a myriad of ways into downtown without using a freeway, however, with that being said our area is old and when have heavy winds and rains, we get power outages and so we have to have things like candles, flashlights and battery operated lanterns.

The dimmable lantern shown above, I bought at the Dollar Tree for a dollar before they went up to $1.25. You need 3 AA batteries for the lanterns. I keep two in our room on the nightstands, one in the guest room and two in the living room in a cabinet. I highly recommend this lantern, it gives off plenty of light.

I believe it was Monday, that Sacramento had an 8 hour power outage from around 3 pm to 11 pm. Power outages are common in Sacramento and using your fireplace is a must because at night it will get into the 30's.  When I lived in Sacramento, I used to buy like a quarter or half cord of wood for my fireplace.

Although, we are going to have a beautiful weekend just in time for the Super Bowl festivities, stay prepare so you don't have to get prepared!

Speaking of the Super Bowl, with everyone being pretty much homebound by the weather, get out early to get whatever it is, beer, nuts, chicken, pizza, etc. for your Super Bowl shindig so you don't have to deal with the crowds at the stores or empty shelves!

There will be a Smart Source and Save coupon inserts in the newspapers or depending upon where you live, it may be delivered to your mailbox or out in your drive way or lawn.

It’s Saturday …enjoy your day! On Sundays, I take the day off from blogging.
