You CAN make a $0.92 sandwich at homešŸ¤£

I love this comment left underneath the video "Guy hasn't made a sandwich since 1974."šŸ¤£

First of all, it is always cheaper to eat at home than to dine out because we are not paying for the salary & benefits of the person working at the establishment and the overhead costs.

Below is me figuring how much is the cheapest sandwich made at home with two slices of lunchmeat.

$3.49 Oscar Meyer Lunchmeat 16oz ($0.22 per slice)
$1.79 Kroger Sandwich Bread 20 oz ($0.11 per slice)
$2.50 Kroger American Sliced Cheese 16ct ($0.16 per slice)
$1.99 Romaine Lettuce ($0.08 per serving)
$3.99 Kroger Mayo 30oz ($0.13 per serving)

= $0.92 for a sandwich at home

Keep in mind, in real life, we buy the Nature's Own Perfectly Crafted Brioche Bread that's normally $4.49 which is about $0.20 per slice vice the Kroger Bread at $0.11 per slice yet still with us using the more expensive bread, our sandwich is only $1.21 which is way under the price of buying a 6" sandwich at Subway for $6.49.
