It was a year ago, today, that I went to the Emergency Room, late in the evening, expecting to receive a shot for an allergic reaction because my tongue had swollen up to like two times it normal size. The intake personnel basically went straight into almost a Code Blue (person can't breath) protocol and where everybody was working on me and what I didn't know at the time is they were gathering all the specialists for the operating room to save my life.  Keep in mind that from the time that I walked into Emergency to the time that they intubated me and put me into a coma...probably 20 minutes.  I remember some of the last words the lead surgeon said to me "If you stop breathing, we don't know if we can bring you back!"

Just remember that health is wealth because even if you are homeless or unhoused or whatever they are calling it that a person can always find housing or a place to lay their head but a dead person cannot.

I am truly grateful that I am still here amongst the living.

Oh my goodness, it's the last weekend in October, as well as, there's going to be Halloween activities and parties, college football games, NFL and NBA games, this weekend.  We had a busy week with the FREE Meatballs and FREE Bush's Baked Beans.

Every since Albertsons/Vons updated their cash registers, it's been a hit or miss (mostly miss) as to the Ibotta software seeing the quantity of the item bought. I find myself submitting Trouble Tickets to Ibotta and Shopkick.  I had to go back and forth with Ibotta several times over the Magnum bars but in the end I persevered and I was finally paid the correct amount. I also had the same issue with Fetch Rewards.

What worked for me is pointing out how the bars appear on the receipt as:

2@ Magnum IC Bars $12.94 $5.92

Whenever, I pointed how the bars appeared, I almost got paid immediately.
