GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE!!! HELLO, CHERYL!!!
YAY, it is the long Martin Luther King holiday weekend!!! I love this for everyone that gets Monday off because most of us was busy, the whole month of December, so it's nice to have that Monday to just relax or catch up on whatever you need.
On Thursday, I saw on social media that Capitol One had gotten hacked and those with checking accounts and/or credit cards are being heavily impacted. I guess those that have direct deposit, such as a paycheck, do not have access to their money. This is why we do not have all of our money at one financial institution.
Unfortunately, I do have a large amount of money with Capital One!🤣
My mom was always telling us "Not to keep all your eggs in one basket." but when I was 8 years and mom would say that sort of thing, I'd think to myself "Why would she put the eggs in a basket when we have an egg carton?"🤣
A lot of people have been devastated because they cannot access their bank account and they cannot access the Capital One credit cards. I only use Capital One for savings, I don't have checking account with them. I did log into my account and the money is just sitting there.
My point is that if you are able to have some money automatically deposited into another bank or credit union, you should do it. I really started spreading out money across different institutions when they used to have those Christmas Clubs. I am very thankful that I have my regular degular credit union and I have access to cash. We have one joint account AND...I still have an account back at home in Sacramento.
We also keep some cash at home for when we want to go to a garage sale or go play Bingo or my son needs a few dollars.
While you are out and about today, don't forget to pick up your 4 FREE Pretty Tasty Collagen Tea at Sprouts!
There will be a Smart Source coupon insert in the Sunday newspapers. It’s Saturday …enjoy your long holiday weekend! On Sundays, I take the day off from blogging.
