This normal price of the FreshPass is $99 per year but they are offering the subscription for $49 and you aren't loosing anything because each month, they give you a $5 off coupon so your subscription is an $11 Money Maker! Of course, our points do not expires with FreshPass!
I think you made a smart move but would like a moment to explain why Wifey and I didn’t accept the $49 offer.
ReplyDeleteIt’s the same logic why we didn’t sign up for the CVS Carepass: we don’t want to feel like we *have* to shop somewhere.
It’s true, $5 is easily used when you have a whole month. But it’s confusing enough keeping track of points and offers from Ibotta and the others anyway.
One other notion we considered: the acquisition from Kroger is still uncertain. We know that our closest stores were to become C&S but still maintain an Albertsons name. I’m not sure the new owners would comply with any ongoing promotions, including FreshPass.
But, as I said, it’s probably a smart move for most, and the monthly $5 plus having no expiration on rewards will be super helpful to those who capitalize on those opportunities.
I believe, yesterday, a federal judge in Colorado knock down the merger and I was on the run so I don't know the details.
