Scan Kicks Only IN STORE...Unless you want to Loose ALL your Points!!!

 

Sometimes, the Shopkick app will give you an opportunity to earn a few extra points by scanning a product bar.  For example, the Wasa Crispbread shown above, you can go to Vons and find the Wasa Crispbread bar code and with the Shopkick app, scan bar code and earn 20 points or Scan kicks.  This may be just enough points for you to request a gift card.

You can only scan the item bar codes IN STORE.  I have heard of some people buying the items but forgetting to scan the items in store and getting home and realizing that they've forgotten to scan the items and they'll scan the items at home and the next thing that they will know is that there account has been locked due to suspicious activity and they loose all their points.

I am telling you, emphatically, DO NOT scan any product bar code from inside your home because that's what they use that GPS for when they do that tracking.

ShopKick's FAQ's doesn't really specifies that you cannot scan bar codes from your home but this is their response to a question regarding being asked to go to the store to scan.

Again, I don't recommend keeping a lot of points, Kicks or money with a rebate app but you do, you!
