Plotting and Planning

It is the week before the long Memorial Day holiday weekend and Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer but where I live in San Diego, it's been overcast all week and yesterday, the high was 69 degrees and we had a bit of light rains.  As they say, "May gray, June gloom."

By Monday at 9 pm PST, we'll be able to look at the Vons/Albertsons and Ralphs ads to see the grocery deals.  This is how we will know, if we should pick up the Kraft American sliced cheese at Ralphs, the current sales period or wait until Wednesday.

Things are still financially tight for a lot of people because of the price of food.  It doesn't matter if you have a decent job but a package of 6 chicken legs is $10 and it's $30 for a large pizza that you have to go and pick up (and they have signage up for you to tip the workers).

Although, we are no longer in the Cave Man days, we still "hunt and gather" our food just in a different way.  We are looking for low prices with little to no out of pocket and if they pay us to take it out of the store like the FREE+MM Core Bar offer, even better.  Again, we are chasing deals not bonuses but if there are enough deals to knock out a bonus then it's a win-win situation.

Yesterday, Mr. Man ate the last bit of the FREE Dreyers ice cream that we had gotten a little less than a month ago at Ralphs.  I am going to have run over to Vons and grab a couple more of the FREE Dreyers ice cream before they run out of the chocolate and vanilla...and hopefully, no one starts dipping into the ice cream until next weekend!  Don't forget to get your FREE box of Sweety Mochi Ice Cream at your local Vons, Albertsons, or Pavilions.

There will be a Smart Source and Save coupon inserts in the newspapers or depending upon where you live, it may be delivered to your mailbox or out in your drive way or lawn.

It’s Saturday …enjoy your day! On Sundays, I take the day off from blogging.
