Plotting and Planning

One thing that I noticed this long Thanksgiving weekend from last year's Thanksgiving weekend is that Vons had a three day sale (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and this year, they only had the Friday Frenzy sale.

My $1 off 2 Butterfingers bar digital coupon did not work for me at Rite Aid but I did submit for $1/2 coupons.com offer and the $1/2 Alexa offer making my purchase of the two Butterfingers bars not only FREE + a $2 Money Maker!!

Also, I didn't know that Rite Aid had gone back to us using our Bonus Cash on the same day that we earn it!!!!!!!!!  I found that out when I bought the two Butterfingers.

I hope that you all was able to get in on the $14 MM on the Rite Aid Pepsi, Mountain Dew or Schweppes 2L (NLA)  because when I posted that deal at 8 pm on Thanksgiving deal, I jumped in my car and zoomed to Rite Aid. Even if you nor your family drink sodas, when it's a $14 MM, you can give the sodas to panhandlers, your neighbors, your church, your sister or whoever.

When I got up on Friday morning and saw that the deal was still working, I was thinking "God wants me to do the deal on the second card" and I deal th deal a second time for a $28 Money Maker in total.

It's too bad that CVS decided not to participate in the Black Friday sales because it had been a tradition for as long as I have been couponing.  These people that complain about stores being open on Thanksgiving Day and workers having to work on Thanksgiving...mind your own business! When I first started out working, I had to work every holiday because I had no seniority but I was working towards my future and in most instances, I was home by dinnertime. A lot of people don't mind working a holiday because they get holiday pay. My brother worked on Thanksgiving and got holiday pay and he got off work at 4:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

Amazon's Black Friday deals was nothing to write home about so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Cyber Monday, the deals will be better!

There will be a P&G coupon insert in the newspapers or depending upon where you live, it may be delivered to your mailbox or out in your drive way or lawn.

Savvy Coupon Shopper (Super Coupon Shopper on IG) on YouTube focuses mostly on CVS deals and she usually post, at least, 3 to 4 videos weekly about CVS.  If you are a regular CVS shopper, I highly recommend that you subscribe to her channel.

Ravi Patel (patel7ravi7 on IG) on YouTube focuses mostly Rite Aid deals and I highly recommend that you subscribe to his channel, if you are a regular Rite Aid shopper.

Running Kimono (Photorachele on IG) on YouTube focuses mostly on Walgreens and I highly recommend that you subscribe to her channel, if you are a regular Walgreens shopper.

I personally like coupon videos that are 10 minutes or less. I typically watch couponing videos at night or while I am waiting in line like at self checkout or waiting for an appointment...but subscribing to a channel is the way to go because as soon as you go to the YouTube app or youtube.com, you'll see the latest and greatest videos posted.

It’s Saturday …enjoy your long holiday weekend! On Sundays, I am taking the day off from blogging.

  2. Hi Ms B...When I was in college I worked at Disneyland and my shift on Thanksgiving Day was 11:00 am-7:30 pm. I remember eating Thanksgiving dinner at the employee cafeteria. But you're correct...it was working towards my future and the thought of calling in sick never crossed my mind. This is what to expect when you don't have any seniority.
I was extremely disappointed that CVS did next to nothing for Black Friday...usually they have about a dozen free items (ok, after Extra Bucks). The last few months they've had very little that I've been interested in.

    1. Trish, Thanksgiving is one day out of the year and we still have to pay bills. I remember working Black Fridays at Mervyn's when I was like 19 yo college student and it was the worst of the worst seasonal Xmas jobs but you push through.

Highly, disappointed in CVS for Black Friday weekend and now they are supposed to be announcing on the 11/30/22 that they are ending the Beauty Club program.
