The Kroger Story

One of the main reasons that I started the Comparison Shop posts is because each week, I'd see a preview of the Kroger ad on Instagram and then look at the Ralphs ad and our prices would be higher.  When the Kroger companies started the Weekly Digital Deals, I already had sign-ins for about 5 Kroger affiliate stores as my "old heads" know, we used to be able to get the freebies that they would only offer to Kroger customers by signing into Kroger and using those coupons at Ralphs.  Kroger fixed it so we can't do that any more.

However, a reader, Amber, on the old blog, gave us a heads up that there was a particular coupon(s) that was on the Food Less website and to sign in with our Ralphs account to add those coupons to our account.

The reason that we can add the Weekly Digital Deals to our Kroger affiliate store and vice versa is because coupons are store coupons and not manufacturer coupons.

When we add a Kroger Milk or Kroger Orange to our Ralphs account, their software automatically changing the milk/orange juice to the appropriate store brand name (thank you Kroger programmers) and the price carries over to affiliate brand.

A reader, Trish, commented something to the effect of "I've never heard of these brands" and really there is no reason for you to know about these Kroger affiliate stores unless, you live in those towns/cities where those stores are located.   If you've been to Las Vegas, you've had to have seen Smith's Foods.

You can save a significant amount of money by checking the other Kroger stores and I try to save you the time by going through an ad or two to see if I can find cheaper options and I am so grateful for those that chime in and say "Hey, it's even cheaper at King Sooper, zip 12345".  You can always google "King Sooper zip code" "Smith's zip code" etc. to check prices.

I highly recommend that you create a King Sooper, Smith's, etc. using your same Ralphs username and password.  If you have an issue, clear your cookies or using your browser's Private or Incognito mode.

Most Californians would think $1.79 is good price of a half gallon of milk but let's keep it a buck, I'd rather pay the cheapest amount possible to keep my out of pock as low as possible.

When you clip digital coupon from another affiliate store, make sure to check for the Qualifying products. In the milk picture, the milk says King Soopers City Markets but the coupon details says it's for Ralphs milk and you should know that I was looking at this particular coupon in my Ralphs account.
