A Food Review of Recent Freebies

I want to do quick reviews of foods that we've gotten for free or almost free over the last week or so and I was surprised that there was some that I absolutely hated and some that we loved. For example, we absolutely hated the FREE Oroweat Keto bread and I was so excited to taste it.  To me, it had a rancid nutty taste that I could not get over, in fact, I had to take the meat and the fixings off the sandwich to finish my lunch.

The Nature Valley Muffin Bar was surprisingly good and the texture of the muffin bar was perfect. I will definitely buy this product, if there's a deal on it.

I am not a big fan of chorizo because it's so darn greasy but since we was getting it for free plus they paid us to take it out of the store, I was kinda excite to try out the Bar-S chorizo link as part of our Saturday morning breakfast!  Thank goodness, I made smothered potatoes and scrambled eggs to go with the chorizo because the links was pretty much flavorless. How did Bar-S make a flavorless chorizo? The Morning Star Plant Based Chorizo, which we love, have a ton of flavor.  The Bar-S chorizo is a pass for us.

To my surprise, the Tate Vegan chocolate chip cookies was a big hit in my household.  The cookies didn't taste weird, they were light and airy.  The only downside is that the cookies are nearly $7 at Sprouts (remember we got the cookies for free) and $5.58 at Walmart.

  1. FYI: I had a 3,000 point Fetch offer for three separate orders at Pavilions. Even three orders within a couple of minutes count, apparently.
